McHenry School District 15’s Josh Reitz (Assistant Superintendent for Learning Service) and Brian Kilinski (Director of Human Resources) presented the District’s programs better known as “STEM” (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and “STEAM” (which includes Arts).  McHenry School District 15 is comprised of 8 schools (5 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 1 year-round elementary school) educating children in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.

Josh and Brian reviewed various attributes of the STEM/STEAM programs, including courses, facilities, technologies, and personnel.  There is a great deal of excitement about the STEM program, which excitement is growing.  STEAM includes emphasis on the Arts, which prompted a discussion regarding music and related programs.
